SCIENCE!!!~Explaining what a science investigation is!

In Term 3 we are doing SCIENCE!! If I could rate science I would rate it a 10 or a 9 because it is so awesome. Anyway last week room 5 learnt what a science investigation was. And I feel like I should tell you what a science investigation is on my blog right now, so I will. A science investigation is when you make an investigation out of science which is for example, your hypothesis. A hypothesis is your estimate, your prediction of what will happen in this investigation. I mean you all know what an investigation is, right? So now all you do is put science into it, and there you have it. And if you don't know what an investigation is then keep reading, otherwise if you do go to number 2. An investigation is when you find out what something is and how it works. So you are finding out new stuff and gaining knowledge. Basically it is finding out something that you don't know anything about by researching, analizing your research (data) and then eventually you have all of the data you need. Read number 2 now.

2. So you have your hypothesis (your prediction) and you know what an investigation is, so now we get to the sciencey part. You have your hypothesis for example, "I think that the balloon will explode because," In every hypothesis that you use you need a 'Why' and a 'Because' So I think that the balloon will pop because, blah, blah, blah. Now you need to research about your thing that you are doing for your science investigation. Go on google, read a book, to research your science investigation. Now it gets to the fun part, ANALIZING AND EXPERIMENTING!! So, analizing is basically the same as experimenting. For example, you get a bottle of coke. Then you put popping candy into a balloon, then you put the balloon over the coke bottle and poor the popping candy into the coke, what will happen? Well my friend you will have to keep on doing it 20 times and if one goes wrong, just even a little mistake then obviously you have done the experiment wrong. So then you will have to start again. Keep on doing it until you have the conclusion which is the actual answer to your hypothesis. Now you know what a science investigation is.
